Hi,
I've been a loyal customer of yours for years. I appreciate that you offer quality products that actually WORK, at very reasonable prices. Because of MUAC, I'm spoiled and rarely buy skincare products from anywhere else... I actually demand a product that lives up to it's hype, and very few are able to at the price point you provide.
I wanted to send you some before and after pictures and provide a testimonial for any potential customers...
I'd been interested in using peels for a while, but was wary after burning my face using other products (that didn't have enough warnings), and by not doing my research first. Finally, after years of educating myself & getting a few low-grade peels at the facialist, I decided to save myself and see some real results by doing peels at home. Attached are pictures of improvement in my skin in just over three weeks.
You will see the before pictures - I have acne, scabbing from previous picking & dark marks from the same. Between the first picture (22May2011) and the second picture (7Jun2011), I conducted two TCA peels - One at 12.5% and one at 15%. (I did double up in some areas) but in just that short time my acne has nearly disappeared and my dark marks have significantly lightened. The little acne I have now is mostly clogged pores that are very easy to extract (no 'picking' required). I plan on doing two more peels & then letting my skin 'rest' with less frequent lactic acid peels and the 'lightening' skincare regimen.
I would like to provide some tips to customers who are hesitant:
1) I have approximately NC42 skin & I was afraid of discoloration. In the past, I'd developed a small patch of discoloration from a peel. I used a 65% glycolic & didn't rinse when the spot frosted - in fact, it got a second coat. I was afraid of darkening my entire face with the TCA peels, but found them to be safe with my skin using the following conditions: Start low & work your way up... I have tougher, oily skin. I did two peels at each level. 1st peel (8%) then 2nd (8% w/two layers), THEN move up to the next higher strength. ((started this before I began with the 12.5% TCA - I wanted to make sure my skin could handle the TCA in the first place....then moved up to get better results, quicker)).
2) Keep your skin moist - I end up using A&D ointment (or similar product), this may cause clogged pores but those go away quickly on me - I'd rather have a few clogged pores & an oily looking face for 4 days than itchy flaking that might cause scarring.
3) If keeping ointment on your face, expect to look really greasy and gross for about 7 days... I kept a thin coat on my skin until peeling was done (carried around ointment tube in my purse). Peeling started around 3 days after the peel and lasted for about 3-4 days. As long as skin was not raw, I used microderm cream in the evenings to clean off ointment and skin. The skin will peel like a sunburn (not flake), and it can be rubbed/massaged off a lot easier when it is kept soft by the ointment.
4) Wait for the skin to fall off/be wiped off - do not pick at your dry skin - this also contributed to my discoloration.
5) Do your research before starting. Take before & after pictures - you'll be amazed. AND Wear GOOD sunscreen - don't undo the hard work you and your skin have been up to.
Thanks MUAC for offering such quality products at such affordable prices. You've saved me thousands & have boosted my self esteem.
In addition, I love how fast your shipping is. I get my items at my APO address (in Germany) in about 4 days. When I shipped to Afghanistan, about 7 days (really fast) - you guys make live easier for us who still want to take care of ourselves while serving in harsh conditions. I recommend you to people all the time & will continue to do so, though work of mouth & as a walking testament to how well your products work.
Thanks Again.
