First off let me say that products are often touted as miracles that will change your life. The peels I've used from MUAC, I'll talk more about those later, are not advertised as cure-alls, or miracles, or anything like....but they should!
My story is similar to a lot of others: I was cursed with what others seemed to never have an issue with and that is troublesome skin, acne. Not acne that can just be washed away with a little special wash or spot treatment, this was dermatologist fighting, tear inducing, red deep angry sore acne. I started getting blemishes at around 14, but it didn't turn into full blown acne until college.
All the skin on my face had something crazy going on with it. Basically everywhere below my temples was covered in deep cystic acne that would leave super red marks. My skin was literally bumpy, you could feel the lumps, which were not small, on my skin. It would flake so horribly and was so embarrassing, but nothing helped. Makeup didn't help cover it. No prescription or drugstore thing I bought made a real difference.My acne left everything from red scars to purple marks, pitted scars to huge pores.
I hurt physically, it made my face sore. I hurt emotionally, it killed my self-esteem and I turned into a social recluse. I wouldn't leave the room without makeup because at least that covered the all over redness. Sometimes I would just....cry, I felt so helpless and not in control.
Then from reading rave reviews about MUAC peels on websites, I decided "well, one more product to try wouldn't hurt." Little did I know, this was the turning point. I started out small and gentle, because there were no guarantees for how my skin would react.
My mom bought me the 40% lactic kit. I can't even really express how amazing it was, even that little bit. I was hooked. After that good experience with a product that actually -did- something, I knew I had to do more.
I then tried the 8% TCA peel and again fell in love. Now, I'm working on fading all the red marks left over and the feels are helping so much! I really wish I would've tried them sooner and I can't wait to try other MUAC peels and strengths.
